The Association has various tiered levels of Membership. The category you
choose reflects your voting status and role within the Association as well
as the nature of your organisation.
Membership category for each new member is accepted at the discretion of the Director of the Association and/or the Board.

Supporting Members
These are the leading players in the CHP industry. Each such company has twenty-five
votes at the Association’s AGM. Each Supporting Member can name up to
twelve contacts in their organisation who will then regularly receive information
from the Association, take part in members meetings and so on. Read

Full Members
For larger companies, public electricity suppliers, gas and other fuel suppliers
etc., who wish to help shape the future of Britain’s CHP industry. Read

District Energy Initiative Members
For those organisations whose main interest is community heating. This category
receives a dedicated and specially funded programme of work. Read

Ordinary Members
The smaller companies, joint ventures and development companies who are keen
to play an active part in the national activities of the Association. Read

Public Sector Members
For those Local Authorities, Universities, Hospitals and other public sector
organisations committed to the development and use of CHP and/or Community

Private Members
Private membership is available to individuals (often retired from the industry
or academics). Read

Subscriptions are due on 1 April. They are charged pro-rata to new members enrolled during the financial year subject to a minimum fee of £500 + VAT.

January to March 75% discount
An invoice for the appropriate level of subscription will be issued after acceptance of a membership application. Membership only becomes active once the invoice has been paid.
All new Supporting, Full and Ordinary members of the Association become automatically become members of COGEN Europe. (David please link to cogen europe website) The cost of this is €2200 + VAT and will be added to your membership invoice unless you indicate otherwise on your application form at the time you apply to join the Association.
