RAMBOLL is a Danish multidisciplinary consulting company. The company works internationally with energy planning, Combined Heat & Power (CHP), District Heating (DH), District Cooling and Energy from Waste (EfW) using the experience gained from numerous Danish schemes since 1965. RAMBOLL is the key advisor for many of the DH companies and councils in Denmark and is currently advising the Metropolitan Copenhagen Heating Transmission Company (CTR). CTR operates the district heating transmission network supplying five councils and boroughs with heat from the waste incineration plants and the central CHP plants in the area of Greater Copenhagen. In the UK, Ramboll has mainly assisted other consultants as specialist advisor and as peer reviewer.
RAMBOLL has worked as a consultant within the field of EfW for more than 40 years and has been involved in the planning and implementation for the same number of EfW projects. In many of these, the preparation of waste strategies or waste management plans has been essential. The company has also prepared a Decision Makers’ Guide to Municipal Solid Waste for the World Bank.
