CFCL is a world leader in developing solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) technology to provide reliable, efficient, high quality, and low-emission electricity from natural gas and renewable fuels. CFCL is developing integrated mCHP products with E.ON in the UK, Gaz de France in France and EWE in Germany.
BlueGen is CFCL’s first commercial product and offers probably the most efficient method for generating electricity from natural gas in the world. BlueGen generates electricity from natural gas at up to 60% efficiency and in combined heat and power operation achieves system efficiency of up to 85% by capturing heat in the form of hot water. BlueGen generates up to 2kW of electricity, allowing for true distributed generation at the domestic and small commercial level.
BlueGen is being installed across Europe, Japan, Australia and the USA.
