URBED is an employee-owned consultancy that specialises in urban regeneration, masterplanning and sustainable development. We have been active as a promoter and developer of CHP and District Heating projects for over ten years, and working with the CHPA have authored influential low carbon urban planning guidance.
We have comprehensive knowledge and experience of the UK market, and integration of the technology into regeneration and masterplanning projects. We also maintain knowledge of, and contact with, practitioners of EU best practice.
Working with UK and Danish partners we can offer a complete range of services - from scoping and feasibility through to detailed design and delivery mechanisms. We are also Code for Sustainable Homes assessors, enabling us to make the link between CHP/District Heating, and emerging planning, Building Regulation and public sector funders' carbon reduction requirements.
Our clients range from private developers such as AMEC Developments, Blueprint, Igloo Regeneration, J.Sainsburys, Taylor Wimpey, Barratt Homes and P.J.Livesey to a full range of public sector bodies including Local Authorities, Regeneration Companies, RSL's and RDA's.
