Yanmar rolls out new microCHP system

18 Sep 2012

Japanese firm Yanmar’s American office has announced the rollout of its new 5 kW microCHP system, CP5WN.

The new 5 kW system, complements the current 10 kW system, CP10WN, and is designed for use in smaller settings than its 10 kW predecessor. Powered by natural gas or propane, the high-efficiency, cogeneration unit reduces primary energy consumption by using the waste heat produced during the production of electricity to enable significant energy savings.

"Yanmar's mCHP systems are both powerful and easy to operate," said Ted Bregar, president of Yanmar America Corp. "The 5 kW system can pay for itself in as little as three years.”
